A
woman in Hawaii has convinced island officials to change their ID
card and driving licence formats to accommodate fer name. Janice
Keihanaikukauakahihuhliheekahaunaele got her name when she married in
1992. After being unable to get a driving licence with her full name
on it, she finally turned to the media for help. Hawaii state has now
agreed to modify its computer systems to cope with longer names.
