A woman in Hawaii has convinced island officials to change their ID card and driving licence formats to accommodate fer name. Janice Keihanaikukauakahihuhliheekahaunaele got her name when she married in 1992. After being unable to get a driving licence with her full name on it, she finally turned to the media for help. Hawaii state has now agreed to modify its computer systems to cope with longer names.

Saving space -Washington, DC

Nasa is to send the first 3D printer to the international space station to help astronauts manufacture spare parts and tools. The space agency hopes to avoid emergencies such as the one that occurried on Apollo 13 in 1970. Then, astronauts had to make their own carbon dioxide filter usin a plastic bag and duct tape!

Review of a film: TITANIC

I'd like to recommend a film which I saw last Sunday, called “Titanic”. The director of the film is James Cameron. He is a Canadian film director.

The film is a romantic tragedy and the setting is a fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. The main characters are two members of the ship: Leonardo Dicaprio as Jack and Kate Winslet as Rose. They are members of different social classes who fall in love during the trip.

The things I like the most about the film were one of the characters and the relationship between Jack and Rose. Some of the scenes are memorable because they are beautiful or very sad. The plot isn't very simple because there are many stories in the ship about people who were in the Titanic.

All in all, I love the film, and though it hasn't got a happy ending. It's a really good film to watch with your boyfriend.

An opinion essay

The government plans to introduce a new law which will mean to introduce school on Saturday. In my view, this would have some negative consequences.

In the first place, I believe this would have a positive repercussion for our education but it won't be a good idea for teenagers. It probably improve our level in all the country.

I think that this is unfair because on Saturdays the teenagers hang out and relax at home after a really hard week at the school. If teachers work, the state will have to pay them more and that's not a good idea because we are in crisis.

There is an alternative method to achieve the government's aims that approved a new law.

Finally, the alternative methods about the plans to introduce school on Saturday are with internet or like always, going to school. The results shouldn't be agreed for guys. If the aim of the government is to lower the number of people who leaves the studies, it seems to me that there's a better alternative: if they remove bad results, education in this country would be safer.

A piece of art

The “Scream” was painted by Edward Munch in 1893. It's an oil painting and it shows a man on the bridge. The dramatic scenery includes a man with fear face in the foreground and in the background you can see a lake and one river.

The type of work is typical of expressionism, and art movement wich started in Germany in the s.XX. The expressionism intend to deform reality to express the meaning of life more clearly.

The “Scream” was first exhibited in 1895 and in 1994 it was stalen. In 2012 the “Scream” was bought by Sotheby for 119,9million dolars.

FILM: The impossible

he last film that I watched was “The impossible”. It tells the true story of a married couple, played by Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, and their three children, who start their Christmas vacation in Thailand, spending a few days at a resort hotel. However, your holidays are interrupted when on the morning of December 26, 2004, while the family was preparing to relax in the hotel pool a devastating earthquake and tsunami with a huge dirty water barrier and invade the wipes enclosure area coastal, so that the family is separated and this makes a frantic search is triggered.

A biography

Demetria Devonne Lovato was born in Albuquerque in 1992. She's been involved in show business since she was ten years old, when she appeared in the TV serie Barney & Friends. In 2002 rost to fame with his starring role in the film Camp Rock.
